About the Gusto Cycling Club
Gusto Cycling Club is a road cycling brand and club built around effort, style, discipline and the culture of the ride.
GCC started from a simple idea: create a sharper kind of road cycling club for capable riders who want structure, good road etiquette, strong group rides and a club identity they are proud to wear.
We are based in Belgium, with rides in and around Genappe, Walloon Brabant and the wider surrounding roads. The region gives riders access to rolling countryside, flatter training routes, punchy climbs, quiet lanes and useful links to the RAVeL network.
Our focus is road cycling.
GCC is not a beginner cycling group, but it is not an elite racing team either. We are building a club for riders who can handle a proper pace, hold a line, respect the bunch and ride safely on open roads.
The standard is simple: ride hard, ride clean and bring the right attitude.
A and B group rides
GCC rides are structured around A and B group levels.
B Group is the GCC entry level: capable riders who can ride safely in a bunch, hold a wheel, communicate clearly and manage a strong but controlled pace.
A Group is the highest GCC ride level: stronger riders who are comfortable with faster rolling sections, harder pulls and sustained efforts over longer distances.
All official GCC rides are no-drop rides. That does not mean slow. It means we ride as a group, regroup where needed and respect the structure of the ride.
Every ride should be clear before rollout: route, distance, pace, elevation, group level and expectations.
The GCC culture
GCC is built for riders of any nationality, background or sex who meet the ride standard and respect the culture of the club.
We ride hard, but we do not ride like idiots. We communicate for safety, respect other road users and represent the club properly on the road, at cafés, in group chats and in public.
No shouting at people unless there is a genuine safety reason. No catcalling. No wolf-whistling. No disrespectful behaviour.
That is not GCC.
Our ambition
Our mission is to grow Gusto Cycling Club into a recognised road cycling name in Belgium.
A key objective is to reach a minimum of 30 members and establish the club structure properly, with the aim of becoming affiliated with the Fédération Cycliste Wallonie-Bruxelles.
Through that pathway, we want members to be able to ride together as an official club, enter events for the enjoyment of the sport, and support those who may eventually wish to obtain a race licence and compete.
GCC is serious about road cycling, but the wider purpose is positive: to encourage cycling as a healthy, disciplined and enjoyable activity across age groups, while helping inspire the next generation of riders.
The brand
GCC is more than a WhatsApp group.
We are building a recognisable cycling identity through strong kit, clear standards, café culture, sponsor partnerships, local rides, event participation and a proper club ethos.
The aim is to create a club and brand that riders are proud to ride with, proud to represent and proud to help grow.
